Hello, Breezie and Charlie and furmily, nice to meet you!
Can you hide the supplements in canned cat food or tuna or baby food or something like that?
For my pup, my typist rolls up little balls of canned dog food, the hand-feeds him a couple pill-free balls, slips in a ball with the pill, and quickly follows with pill-free balls. He has no idea he ate a pill.
You can cut a pill in half if it's too big to sneak in.
Maybe call back the vet, and tell him the supplement worked, but Charlie won't take it, and ask for some other suggestions as to what you can do?
I know the smart kitties here will have some ideas to help you.
I agree with talking with the vet. There may be some equivalent supplements that Charlie will like better.
Have you tried any of the over-the-counter calming products already? Our family has had some luck with Feliway (which worked with some of the cats) and Bach's Rescue Remedy Pets (which worked better with others). You can get Feliway with a diffuser or as a spray. Rescue Remedy comes as a liquid which you can use by adding a couple drops to the water dish. I'm sure others can suggest other products to try, too!
Good luck! Keep us posted!
Mommy, me and Caspurr are going to hold on here as long as we can...it is only fair but, it's just gotta get better...>^..^<
@Snuggle @CatsterAdmin Personally, I find the Welcome area difficult to find cats. I think we're all used to finding a cat, commenting (on when we had diaries) and interacting at their individual Profile page. That is why we are upset that only one cat per email can be used. There is no way that people with multiple cats are going to log in with separate emails in order for a particular cat to participate. And the other option of having all cats on one profile makes it very undesirable to be here. And IF many cats were to come back to Catster and set up their "profile" in the "Welcome" area, it will be difficult to wade through all of that looking for your friends - especially when they are having to use a different name because someone has already taken their name.
The reason I said the "Welcome" area is confusing for finding your friends - just stop over there and look. Cats are using it to ask questions, their "Title" should just be their name, not a bunch of other words. If the Welcome area is supposed to be our individual "page", then it needs something done so cats can be found easier.
