Digging in trash?

Our latest addition has the weird habit of diving into the trash (or clawing into it since we tied the bag shut) and chewing on the bones she finds in there. Any suggestions on how to get her to stop or take her attention away from the bones? Thanks in advance!

I used to do this, abut then my Mom started to keep all such bones in a plastic baggie in the freezer until she's ready to take the trash outside. Now the trash is just boring and I leave it alone.

I don't know what kind of trash can your mom has but we couldn't get in there if we wanted to. Mom has a stainless steel can with a lid that you can't open unless you step on it real hard. Not something we can do. ;)
