Which litter box is best to prevent tracking?

Hi everykit! Mommy's looking at upgrading our litter boxes because we've been throwing and tracking litter all over. For the last several years, we've had litterboxes made from storage totes with doors cut in the sides, since we also tend to be high pee-ers. :r The boxes that mommy has been considering are Booda Dome Cleanstep, Catit Jumbo Hooded boxes and the Nature's Miracle Hooded Corner boxes. Have any of you had luck with any of these boxes, or do you have something even better to recommend? Thanks in advance! |:|

Your high-sided boxes are best for keeping litter from being thrown out - although there's always the "door" MOL! The tracking has more to do with the litter than with the box, I think; litter sticks to paws, paws move around the house, and litter is dropped. Sad fact of life. I find a rechargeable stick vac is wonderful for tracked litter, so you might consider that. Covered (or "hooded") boxes are generally not recommended because they not only hold litter in, they also hold odor in If the box becomes too full of odor, the cat may stop using it - and then you have a bigger problem!
