a biopsy was done which turned out not to be enough tissue so the vet wants to do another biopsy..I don't know what to do because either way Lilly will have some of her nose removed...I don't want her nose to be deformed, but i dont want her to die knowing maybe something could have been done. If it is malignant, How long does this take to start eating her nose or spreading? What should i do?

Well, you won't know what it is or how to treat it if you don't have the biopsy done. It could be treatable, but most things are best treated as early as possible. I would have the biopsy done and go from there.

I agree with Mr. Fez. There is a procedure done on human's called a "Mose" procedure where just tiny shavings of tissue are taken. There is not really any deformity from the test itself. If Lilly's lesion is benign, then you're out of there with no surgery needed. If it IS malignant, then you know you need to do what's necessary to help her. Lilly won't care about her nose. Animals aren't vain about their appearances. This is why dogs love to roll in deer poop ;-) You know that if anything can be done for Lilly then you need to do it. If you trust your vet, put Lilly's care in their hands. They may refer you to a specialist in feline cancer if it turns out to be cancerous Most of all, don't be afraid to ask as many questions of your vet as you need to to put your mind at ease about this. There are no stupid questions. Good luck! Let us know how Lilly does!
