Hey all you catsters good work - I know for sure that a person in top management of Google is very pet friendly. They support Pasado Safe Haven out of Monroe, Washington. Susan and Mark of Pasado are big in animal cruelty. I saw the video and the cat has to be taken out of this abusive situation. This kid needs help with his violence. His grandparents I\'m sure would be sick over this. I\'m sure this is not the one and only video that has showed up but these people need to understand that you will be caught and you will be liable for your crime.

I tell yah you should report it to animal control. What you do is give the animal cops or something their user name so they can track them. :^:

We clicked on the link to the questionable video ONLY so that we could leave a comment and flag it. The video is down now, and I'm glad. It would have upset us anyway.

Well, Apparently it's been removed. If I would of lived in that state, I would of hunted that boy down by myself! I wonder if this boy wets his bed also? Because if he does, then he's on the road to being a serial killer!

We just went to it to flag it and it is already taken off thank God. There was another horrible kitty you tube video a while back that we all complained about also. I hope they get that kid. I am glad that it was taken off before we would be upset with all the poor kitty crying.

I'm glad we didn't see that. :(( Although, I saw a video of someone killing a puppy with her high heal one time I was so disgusted and enraged that I almost threw up! It was the most horrific thing I had ever seen in my life!!!! :(( Poor kitty.... I hope that it was saved and that kid gets what he deserves!

I'd just like to update this story and say that thanks to Catster members reporting this video to the ASPCA and also tracing the boys family, the ASPCA visited the family home and checked out the cat. The cat was found to be in good health and the boy was being 'dealt with' by his family. Unfortunately as the video had been removed, there was not enough evidence to get any sort of criminal conviction.

=D> Thank you Blade for updating everyone on this. I\'d also like to post what pet-abuse.com states one should do when they find an abusive video: From pet-abuse.com The Internet is one of our most powerful tools in combatting animal cruelty, educating the public and exchanging ideas with other animal advocates. Unfortunately, the ever-increasing popularity of the Internet also makes it very easy for criminals and those that find humor in animal cruelty to spread their message. We have seen an increase in the number of cruel hoax sites, which while they may be distasteful and offensive to you, are not actually committing any crimes. An example of these types of sites would be the Bonsai Kitten website and the Save Toby website. If you encounter online cruelty, check to see if more information is available. Search the Urban Legends Reference Pages and Google to see whether or not the site may have already been determined to be a hoax. Do not contact the website. The author isn\'t interested in how you feel about him and what he is doing, and he will likely get a rise out of the attention*. Do not send emails to all of your friends and associates telling them about the site. Doing so would be promoting the site and, thusly, giving them what they want -- attention. It is what they crave and you would only be fueling their fire. Don\'t give them any satisfaction. Contact the company that hosts the website to let them know about the abusive content. If the content is in violation of the company\'s term of service, they may be willing to cancel or suspend the site owner\'s account until the content is removed. To find out who hosts a website, go to SamSpade.Org, type in the url of the website and click on the button marked \"Whois\". The results should list the \"Domain name servers\" and domain name contacts. The technical and administrative contacts will usually be the site owner. If you click on the name of the Domain name servers, it will display the contact information for the hosting company. This is the contact information you want. * An important exception to this would be if you witness cruelty on a site that posts videos, images or stories from many sources. In June 2005, a legitimate case of animal cruelty was discovered thanks to responsible site owners who contacted authorities after a video of teens dousing opossums with lighter fluid and setting them on fire was submitted to their site. If the site owner is responsible for the offensive content itself, contacting them will only give them additional attention and will usually relish the fact that they have managed to get so many people in an uproar. Just as is the case with abused and neglected children, these site owners welcome exposure and attention, even if that attention is negative. Websites Depicting or Promoting Actual Child or Animal Cruelty If you encounter a website that clearly depicts actual animal cruelty (such as bestiality), follow the steps above to determine the hosting company of the site. Unfortunately, with bestiality cases and child pornography in particular, many site owners will host their websites with companies based in states or countries that do not have laws against the content they are promoting. To report child pornography, contact the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at www.cybertipline.com. To report bestiality websites, e-mails, profiles or other online obscenity, contact Morality in Media at www.obscenitycrimes.org

This is what the ASPCA says to do, although we got nowhere when contacting the FBI. WEBSITES THAT DEPICT ANIMAL CRUELTY The Internet delivers an astounding array of images and ideas into homes across the world. But not all of these images are particularly animal-friendly. In fact, some of what is being sold and shown online crosses into the realm of criminal activity. And in some cases, there are laws against showing and selling these images. To report websites that display acts of cruelty to animals, please contact the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice.

AND.... DO NOT FLAG THE VIDEO!! Make a COPY of it for evidence. That\'s what we were missing in the case of the cat on YouTube. No one had the video and everyone complained and the video was removed. NO EVIDENCE. What PETA advises: http://www.peta.org/about/hottopic009.asp

Unfortunately there are so many people inflicting violence on not just animals but humans as well and that's why sometimes I HATE the internet. Because not only is it wrong it's also humiliating for the victims (and when I say this I am thinking of those who are sexually assaulted and having the endeavor posted on the internet but it goes for anything in general) but it also encourages the perps to continue what they are doing at the expense of the victim. And it sickens me that animal abuse is over-looked. I mean it's on YOU TUBE for the love of God! You'd think that people screen the videos that are going on the site but obviously they don't. They can't expect the viewers to moderate the site because, let's face it, the majority of the people on he site are depressed, physo teenagers who are entertained by that or some guy getting hit in the face with a tire swing. I'll tell you if you concern yourself with stuff like this you'll go bonkers. Makes me want to sit in the closet and listen to The Andrews Sisters all day.
