    He sounds difficult. Wine baskets are always nice and you could include the remembrance book in it even though you'd have trouble finding enough people to sign it. I think it's just something that everyone would have to be polite about. :))

    Why not a donation of some kind to the musical department of the school? In his name, of course!

    "She WANTS to donate the money to the current advanced choir program at the school, but he has a grudge against the school and has prohibited it. " ~~ that's how come ;-) The only thing we can think so far is to go with the tree idea, but only if we can afford a stone or bronze marker that has all of the students' names on it. So not so much a memorial for him, but for the whole group.

    Would he let you make a donation to the church instead of the school, for their music program. Almost would be nice if it was something the church could loan to the school should the need arise.
