Suddenly hiding and antisocial

I\'ve always been a little skittish...I don\'t like loud noises or lots of people and I\'m definitely not a fan of being picked up and held. I\'ve always liked people though, and used to greet my people when they came home from work. Lately I\'ve spent most of my time hiding under the bed. I\'ll come out a few times a day to snuggle with my brother and headbutt mom while she\'s getting ready for work or make cricket sounds at dad, but mostly I\'m just hanging out under the bed. I\'m still eating and drinking water. Nothing has changed in my living situation - no new cats or people, no one went away, and no one has changed schedules. My people are obviously worried about me. I don\'t know what to tell them when they ask why I\'m hiding all the time?

Well that's a little concerning. A kitty doesn't usually hide like that suddenly for no reason. Can you take him into the vet to be checked out? Cats are notoriously good at hiding illness so we as parents have to learn the subtle signs that something is wrong.

I'm not sure where you live, but it's pretty cold where I live and us kitties always look for the warmest spots to nap. In our guest room there's a heater vent under the bed, so sometimes in cold weather we'll go under that bed to sleep because it's nice and toasty there.
