My cat is leaveing Large amounts of fur around her sleeping area plus different parts of the house. Eating fine, looks good, no signs of any kind of illness. Why?

It's spring, and the weather is getting warmer. Cats shed a lot in this season. If your cat is short haired, use a brush and/or metal comb. For a long hair, a metal comb is best. The occasional bath is also very helpful in getting rid of dead hair. However, if your cat has bald patches, it could be ringworm or a skin ailment--which means a vet trip.

when it's winter, cats grow thicker coats to keep themselves warm...then when spring comes around, they shed their winter coat so they can have a lighter coat for the warm summer months. shedding is completely normal and happens to every cat. but if your cat seems to be itching a lot, or developing bald spots, then you need to see a vet.
