My cat had ear surgery (and at the same time his teeth were descaled, etc) for an ear infection detected by our local vet. Since the operation (a week ago, yesterday), he walks around very drunkenly, has third eyelids showing in both eyes and seems to be unable to hear anything. I was using panalog ear ointment and he is on an antibiotic as of today. He had a cortizone injection yesterday. The vet mentioned Horner's syndrome or a stroke. Prior to the surgery, he was perfectly normal and I had no idea he had an infection except for an aural heamatoma, which I took him to the vet for. Is the damage permanent and what can I do to treat him?
