I caught my cats eating half a squirrel. I have no money for the vet.How much do rabies shots cost?

My cats are outside cats and I caught them eating half a squirrel! I have no money to get them checked up at the vet! Please answer this question! I need help!

    Squirrels are not carriers of rabies. We have a lot of squirrels around so I have had some concerns about this also. You can google this to verify the information. You should also consider getting your cats vaccinated for rabies so you won't have to worry about this ~ especially if they go outside.

    Many Pet Supply stores and shelters or rescues sponsor low cost vaccination clinics. I know that Petco and Petsmart do them all of the time in my area. You can check their websites for events in your area. Use a Google search with your location to search for programs available in your area. A rabies shot would not prevent what has already occurred, rabies has not cure.
