We are moving...

We are moving from a big farm to a small apartment in 2 weeks . Olivia is use to being able to be outside and with many other cats and dogs. She's going from being 1 of 10(only 3 are inside) to just 1. I was wondering if there was anything i could do to make this transition any easier for her. Any advice would be much appreciated! THANK YOU :)

Make sure she has plenty of toys and things to keep her occupied. Maybe a cat tree to climb on and a place she can look out of the window. Toy mousies or balls she can whack around the house. A place to scratch and sharpen her claws. Same advice goes for any indoor kitty even if they were not going through a change of lifestyle. Bored kitties get into trouble. It may take a while to get used to being confined but she is young so she should be able to adjust pretty well.

I agree with Allie. Make sure she has a lot of cat-friendly things to keep her occupied because a bored kitty will find it's own fun and you won't agree about her choice. Oscar has a cat tower, free access to a big picture window, lots of toys and two dogs to aggravate. He was a feral, outside kitty before he came to live with us and with a little adjustment, he's done just fine.

I know this is difficult when you are busy with moving, but make sure you pay lots of attention to Olivia since you will be her "constant" when you do move. She'll need you to tell her that everything is OK. Like the others said, make sure she doesn't have too much downtime on her paws. Take some time in the evening to play with her with a laser light or a feather teaser.
