As my general rule of thumb, inside yes, outside no. Granted, they're your kitties and many cat owners let their kittens outside. But there are lots of risks to letting them out too. How old are the kittens? Cats tend to live longer inside. Just be sure not to let them in a room if you've just sprayed chemicals or they can hurt themselves. I usually just tell new owners, if you wouldn't let your baby near it, don't let your kitten near it.

It's been my experience that most cats are homebodies and just like to hang out at home. Cats can startle easily at loud or unusual noises and if not restrained properly, will take off for parts unknown. However, if your cats are social and would not panic if taken out in public, harness and leash train them and take them for walks around your neighborhood. Do not simply carry them, as if they become frightened, they could claw or bite you, and escape. Most public institutions, restaurants and retail stores have a policy against animals other than service animals coming into their buildings, so I wouldn't take them there. Your first concern should be for the safety and well-being of Bonnie and Clyde. If you are in doubt as to whether they would do well out in public, then I would just leave them in their home environment.

As long as your kittens are up to date on vaccines and well supervised, there is no reason why they can't venture outside in the yard with you. Get them each a harness and a leash. This will ensure they stay near you and don't get into trouble or if trouble finds them you can quickly scoop them up. If your talking about taking them shopping with you, visiting friends or car rides than I would have to say no you cannot or should not take them with you. Keep them home. Keep them in the house unless you can supervise outside. Have a good one.

If socialized and trained early as kittens, cats can be trained to walk on a leash and go outside with you. Pet strollers are another safe option. As long as you are mindful of safety and socialized early, some cats do like to go out and enjoy trips to pet stores, parks, or to work to show them off. Just make sure you use carriers in the car and a harness and leash or a pet stroller for safety and socialize them early. They will probably enjoy it.
