She is seriously ill and needs to see a vet. They'll be able to figure out what's wrong and get her some treatment. It's difficult to tell from your description what it could be but an infection, constipation or urinary crystals/blockage are all possibilities. Any of those will kill her if she isn't treated. Also if cats don't eat for more than a couple of days they can develop liver failure. So try to convince your mum to take her to the vet. Even if it is something where they can't save her they can at least euthanise her and save her pain.

Like the other poster said it could be many things. It is very serious and your mom's cat needs to go to the vet before she dies.

GO TO THE VET! I am not a vet, so all I have to go on is my own cat experience, but the symptoms you describe (I am sorry to say) could signal an imminent death. I have had cats with similar symptoms, one who died from kidney failure, and one from diabetes (at age 15 and age 17). Let your vet diagnose the problem, and treat it, if possible. It may be too late to prolong your cat's life, but on the other hand, it may not be. Only your vet can tell you for sure.
