Is marshmellows bad for cats to eat?

    I would say yes they are bad for cats. Any kind of sugar is bad for cats and dogs. It could help your cat get diabetes and of course bad teeth. A good treat is baked chicken without bbq sause or sweet stuff on it. Cats are meat eaters and they don't need the stuff we humans like as treats.

    I agree with Tutti, BUT--a little piece of marshmallow now and then will not kill your cat. Emphasis on "little" and "now and then." Make sure that your cat is getting adequate nutrition from his/her daily food. Some cats like sweet things, and indulging them very sparely should not be a problem. However, diabetic cats tend to crave sweets. If I were you, I'd get my cat checked out at the vet's to make sure that he/she doesn't have diabetes already. Good luck!
