This is going to be a silly question. It's been well over 8 years since I've had a kitten in the house, but any answers are welcome
My kitten is just turning 9 months old. She was 7 months old when she joined the family. At the time she came home her teeth were mostly in, molars still coming in - gums looked pretty raw. She was licking her lips alot. Vet saw her and was pleased how she looked and everything health wise is 100%.
So now, at 9 months, she still has some redness on her gums. Mostly at the canine and some by the molars and there is still some licking of the chops. Appetite is EXTREMELY healthy. Eating mostly dry, but supplemented with some wet food also. Pooping, drinking, playing all normal.
So just want to make sure this doesn't warrant a vet visit and it's normal.
