Dear Catster reader,

Almost two years ago, we invested numerous resources and rebuilt the Catster community. With new hardware, software and personnel, we did our best to satisfy the many users who shared their thoughts, pictures, questions, and love for and of their pets with us and friends. It was a thriving community with many users. We hoped, however, there would be more like you.

Times and habits have changed and we are sad to announce that the Catster community will be closing down on July 20, 2019.

Catster magazine, www.catster.com and the associated social media sites are NOT shutting down. We encourage you to continue reading the content found in the pages of the magazine and the web sites, commenting through the mechanisms provided and sharing your ideas and comments with us and your fellow readers.

Instructions for accessing pet profiles were shared with everyone in 2017. The instructions can be found elsewhere within the forum. AFTER JULY 20TH, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS THIS CONTENT. And, effective immediately, we are no longer able to answer questions about the community.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to serving you through our magazine and website.

Cheers,
Catster

I love all kinds of beans and peas! Chick peas are really my favorite, but I love green beans too! :-) It's nice to see other kitties on here who know what the good stuff is! :-)

In my younger days I used to chew on a raw green bean or two. They're also fun to play with. Racing across the kitchen linoleum, batting the bean, kind of like a hockey player stickhanding the puck, only I bet I'm faster! "She's got it at the far end of the floor. She carries it past the chair, bean-handles around the sleeping dog, pokechecking the bean from under his tail. Still bean handling she ricochets it off a human foot. Now it's a breakaway, racing toward the goal (the small gap under the china cabinet). She shoots . . . . she SCORES ! ! !" I shoot the green bean under the cabinet. What talent! Did you know I can bat a green bean under the cabinet from across the room? 'Course, that was when we had our other dogs; now that we have the pup she always wants to join in and I don't play with DOGS!

I never tried raw green beans, but I love eating green beans sautéed in olive oil with garlic and red bell peppers...yum! All green veggies, even brussel sprouts, are delicious. My mommy's friends think that I am weird for liking brussel sprouts :)

I tried peas and carrots before, yummy! I love salad dressing and cheese too, but mommy says those might cause problems for me.

I LOVE EDAMAME. seriously. once i even tried to get INTO the pot on the stove WHILE it was cooking. now my mom has to guard the stove when she makes it b/c i am so ludicrous. one thing that is really fun is when she squeezes a bean out of the shell really fast and it goes shooting down the hall and i chase it down and gobble it up. weird though, lola does not care AT all about edamame. she is a little silly though.
